Why i-Series?
What’s the most sought after I.T. programming skills in the market? Some may say Java, some VB.Net but very few know that RPG is one of the most marketable programming skills in Malaysia and this region.
Since the launch of AS/400 in 1987, IBM has established AS/400 as the most popular midrange machine in the industry. More than 2 decades later, AS/400 midrange computer (now being called i5) is still having a strong presence in this region. i5 machines are still dominating the banking & finance industry, manufacturing and insurance industry, to name a few.
Why Visualogic?
Visualogic identified the acute shortage for AS/400 resources in Malaysia way back in the year 2000. At that time, there were a few competitors adopting the same business model (i.e. Training academy) but all of them have since closed shop. It is no bragging to say that Visualogic’s training model is the only one in Asia and it is the only surviving company in the AS/400 training business. We have trained hundreds of students who are now successful I.T. professionals in various fields and industries.

The Training Academy
The training program spans 6 months. The student will be taught intensively on OS/400 operating system, RPG, COBOL and CL (Control Language) programming skills.
List of Courses taught:
- OS/400 implementation and facilities
- RPG/400 programming
- COBOL/400 programming
- Control Language (CL) Programming
- SQL/400
- Query./400
In between classes, a student will be given various assignments to test his newly-learned skills, at the same time, his progress will be assessed accordingly.

Requirements:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn are of paramount importance
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Fresh Graduates or Programmers with less than 6-month experience are encouraged to apply.
- Good analytical and computing skills.
- Good communication skills – spoken and written.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status or valid working permit.
Training method
Training would involve lecture (theory) with heavy emphasis on hands-on (lab exercises). The ratio of theory Vs hands-on would be 30:70.
