Mr. KL Chan has over 15 years of commercial experience in IT. He was involved with system development and IT projects management specialised in AS/400, Windows NT, WAN, LAN and data communication implementation. As a certified Microsoft professional, he has been involved with Information Technology since 1988.
He was appointed as a lecturer at Informatics College soon after completed his computer diploma. Two years later, he moved on to begin his commercial experience as a Analyst Programmer at Yeo Hiap Seng (M) Bhd after completing his part-time BCS course.
In 1994, he was appointed as the head of department at BTC Clothier S/B, where he formed an IT division and set up the entire IT infrastructure to establish the newly formed company as a major force in retail industry. The following year, he was promoted as the IT Manager.
He is now the Software specialist at VisuaLogic Resources (M) Sdn Bhd. Other than having consultation and training on AS/400 in this centre, Chan also involves himself as an IT Consultant/Project Manager for outsourcing projects.
